| Looking for a Lake District Hotel, then welcome to The Hydro Hotel at Windermere. The Hydro is one of the oldest Lake District Hotels, built as a water cure hotel in the late 19th century.
This year, water treatment is returning to the Hydro, with the opening of the Hydro Spa, the newest hotel swimming pool in the Lake District. Already with jacuzzi, sauna and mini gym we have plans for steam and treatment rooms.
If you`re after a quiet moment, just relax in the lounge looking over Bowness towards the lake.
Why not combine a relaxing morning in the Spa, with a more exhilarating water activity; try you hand sailing on Hydrotherapy, the hotels 34ft yacht, under the capable guidance of our resident skipper. Hydrotherapy is the, largest yacht on a mooring on Lake Windermere for more details click the link on the left.
For a business stop over, conference or just staying in touch we have installed wireless internet access in several public rooms including the bar, and additionally in some bedrooms. Traveling without your laptop, we have an internet kiosk for checking your email or web access.
The Hotel is situated in a premier position for a wide variety of activities in and around the Lake District. While you stay with us why not take a sail on Lake Windermere and enjoy views of mountain scenery, secluded bas and wooded islands, enjoy a clay pigeon shoot or just pamper yourself in the Hydro Spa. |
