The Bridge House Hotel & Restaurant, nestled in downtown Beaminster, is one of the area’s finest historical landmarks. Its façade hides many surprises inside, such as inglenook fireplaces, beamed ceilings and two conservatories overlooking a lovely walled garden.
The Bridge House Hotel has enjoyed a fine reputation as a family run business which has continued under new owners, Mark & Joanna Donovan who have introduced a country/contemporary style, including new luxury bathrooms. Its staff is known to be cheery, helpful and efficient and welcomes local residents to visit for a traditional, Dorset cream tea, coffee, lunch or dinner.
The hotel’s restaurant has recently been awarded a second AA Rosette for its excellent food. They use local, organic, fresh produce wherever possible and dinner is served in a splendid Georgian panelled dining room. Perhaps, the most attractive aspect of the Bridge House…….venue.
