Our Georgian residence and concealed courtyard annex combine to provide a peaceful haven behind the bustling street scene of this pleasant and historic county town.

Breakfast, in dining-room or conservatory, is a generous affair from healthy fresh fruit and yoghurt to porridge and mixed grill. Alternatively, home-made marmalade, croissants, muffins and freshly squeezed orange juice make a leisurely start in the privacy of your room. The choice is yours. An eclectic array of dinner menus await perusal. Most venues are only a stroll away. Others may be incorporated into a day of sightseeing. Our services are on hand to offer maximum flexibility. Plentiful supplies of freshly brewed coffee, or tea and biscuits are readily available at your request.

All our en-suite bedrooms are furnished with colour television, tea and coffee tray, hairdryer and direct dial telephone. Retreat to drawing room seclusion and comfort, or indulge thirst and intellect quietly cossetted in our bar/library, surrounded by a wealth of local literature.
