The Star Hotel is a small famly run establishment. Formerly a Coaching Inn, the Hotel has been renowned for over two centuries for it`s hospitality. Jim and Linda Ross look forward to welcoming you to The Star Hotel, Twynholm.

Enjoy our warm informal hospitality and our extensive evening menu offers you a choice of starters, main courses and sweets. All food is freshly prepared on the premises and we use only prime Galloway beef and most of our fish is locally caught. Alternatively, join the locals for a drink in our Village Bar (smoking area) where you will be tempted with a choice of draught beers and a wide choice of spirits. Food can also be served in the Village Bar, if preferred.

Our en-suite rooms are tastefully furnished to a high standard for your comfort with all the equipment that you would expect to find. Telephone and data points are also available in bedrooms which are non-smoking and disabled friendly.

Galloway`s beaches, hills, forests, lochs and castle are all close to hand and the artists and harbour town of Kirkcudbright only four miles away. Castle Douglas Food Town is eight miles from Twynholm and Wigtown, Scotlands Book Town, is 35 miles.

Single room occupancy rate is £45.00 per night and child/children sharing with parents under 14 years of age £5.00 per child per night.
