The Galaxie Hotel is situated in the beautiful north Oxford suburbs, conveniently close to central Oxford, the University, conference facilities and museums. We are a 5-10 minute taxi/bus ride from the city centre, and within 5 minutes walk of 10 of Oxfords very finest restaurants! Inspector Morse drank beer at our local pub, the Dew Drop Inn, and we are close to his other favourite pub, The Trout Inn, by the river Thames. The British Grand Prix is a 30 minute drive north and Stratford upon Avon, home of Shakespeare, is 1 hour away. The hotel provides free wireless Internet, as well as 2 computers for customers without their own laptops, to access email and the Internet.
