Gidleigh Park Hotel & Restaurant is England’s “hidden jewel”. Approached by unspoiled Devon lanes, the Gidleigh Park estate has been described as a “bucolic treat”. The black and white manor house sits in stunning gardens, with marked walks over footbridges, crossing the River Teign, and is overlooked only by Dartmoor’s Hills. Gidleigh Park Hotel & Restaurant, the award-winning Hotel and 2 Michelin Star Restaurant, announces a programme of refurbishment, which began on the 5th January 2006. Gidleigh Park is now closed but can still be contacted for reservations. We look forward to welcoming you. Subject to obtaining the necessary planning consent, Gidleigh Park Hotel & Restaurant is sceduled to re-open in the summer of 2006, with 9 new bedrooms, a 54-cover restaurant and new wine cellar with tasting room. The refurbishment will be carried out to ensure that Gidleigh Park will be the most desirable of destinations. Expansion of its Restaurant and wine cellars will allow Michael Caines and his team to realise their ambitions for their cuisine.
