Set on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, The Ouse Bridge hotel is a family run hotel offering a friendly welcome and fantastic views. We provide a relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and value for money in a stunning and peaceful location.
This inviting Edwardian country hotel has 11 well-appointed and comfortable rooms, many with commanding views over Bassenthwaite Lake. All rooms are equipped with colour TV and DVD players, clock radios and tea and coffee making facilities (all with Fairtrade products.) There is also ample private parking, a drying room and secure storage for cycles
In our Les Routiers accredited restaurant, we concentrate on delicious freshly cooked food using local produce. In the morning wake up to a full English breakfast or if you fancy something lighter try free range scrambled eggs on toast or sample one of our breakfast omelettes. At the end of a long day spent walking or sightseeing come back to an excellent three-course meal in our welcoming dining room, cooked by owner and Leiths trained chef Stephen.
The hotel also has the cosy `Skiddaw View` Bar and Lounge - a fully licensed residents bar offering superb views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake, which is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Or on a glorious sunny evening you take a drink on our terrace overlooking the Lake.
