The whitewashed stone building has stood in Bongate, the oldest part of Appleby-in-Westmorland for over 300 years, always providing sustenance for the weary traveller - a true coaching inn with history. The area is a paradise for walkers and with so much variety it is difficult to choose where to go, but be assured that when you return from a hard day out, there is a warm and relaxing welcome awaiting you.
